Recession Woes Grow for Israeli Pensioners

Like many developed countries in the world, Israel is trying to paint a positive picture of its economy, with the government keen to show it is emerging from the recession.

However, the slower rate of growth has hit the hundreds of thousands of Israelis reliant on food handouts particularly hard.

For them, as Al Jazeera’s Clayton Swisher reports from Tel Aviv, the problem appears to be getting worse.
