Thanks, Joan! It's interesting to hear which ads are being played where.

I'll look for Bungee. I subscribe to a service that just forwards all the ads to me but they send so many (Senate, Governor, Special Issues etc) that sometimes I miss one or two.

I've seen Angry quite a bit here in VA. There's another one called Bungee(it's on their website) that I've also seen pretty often. That one is lighter in tone and not obviously partisan-more like one of those darn AARP ads. They must be on Fox because that's the channel I watch the second most(I know, I know-I'm boycotting the Hillary haters), after c-span. I don't watch much network tv at all. Sorta preaching to the choir if that's the case.

Ha, and if you change the DT poll adjustment factor (DTAF) to be just 3.1 points, using that same map, you get a tie 269 to 269. That would be fun.

The economy is everything and the only thing at the moment. So that's where each candidate will be hitting. Anything about Wright and the rest may help a little, but will mostly be noise.

I didn't like the second one as much either. And after listening again, I think it's the guys voice. Just a bit of a creep factor for me and I don't know why.

I think if McCain can steer some of the blame about the economy to freddie and fannie and thus to the dems, then he will stem the tide.

Of course other things can change to make the economy a little less front and center. I wonder if the bill passes the house would that actually make people more confident in the economy. If that's a possibility I give the odds of the bill passing 0% because Pelosi will ensure it won't. Watch to see if it's another show to blame the republicans by not having many key members of the democratic party vote for it.

I wonder what else could happen this month. I don't really expect any october surprises myself. I think things will just crawl forward. I think if the economy as the top issue subsides a bit, we'll see the polls tighten up again.

BTW, I have slight modification to the DT poll adjustment factor. I'm now thinking we have to subtract 5 points from Obama's numbers for the "Obama effect" and 5 points from Obama for bad polling (similar to what we say in the primaries). Making that adjustment to realclearpolitics map today, gives us... drum roll please: Obama: 153 McCain: 385. Your mileage may vary. If we go back to my earlier only using the "Obama effect" of 5 points we have: Obama: 259 McCain: 279. We'll see soon enough.

It's funny but just the other day, Karl Rove said taxes as a political issue are still in play and then comes this. just saying.

Of course, I have been saying for some time that some one had to hit Obama harder on economic issues otherwise it was pointless.

I am still amazed by all the radio ads that Obama is doing. Radio ads are harder to vet and to track which is why he is doing them.

Ah so here they are.We knew it was just a matter of time.

"nonpartisan organization" Sure RightChange, whatever you say.

the first one from the top is the most interesting in my opinion. The second one, the least effective. The other ones are quite good, at least visually.

The taxes are coming, the taxes are coming! (ay seNor)

I'm glad they are finally hitting on how much Obama (and other Dems) received in contributions from Fannie/Freddie. This group really needs to get that info out there.

Those are quite good. Now if they can run these with the opposite ratio we've seen, say 3 times as many of these as all of the Obama 527's, then the bleeding may stop.

And speaking of polls, I noticed at least one of the daily tracking polls tightening. I think it was Gallup showing a 4 point spread now. Of course take them all with a grain of salt, especially dailies. But since we've seen state polls lag nationals by around a weak, I'm wondering if the bleeding might already be slowing and the state polls we're seeing now are really about last week. Just a thought.
