Just watch and listen. The decision to forgo public financing has at least one Obama supporter questioning whether Obama will honour his commitments. This one supporter is now having second thoughts about voting for Obama.
I hope this is not just an isolated incident. I have been surprised for months at the blindness of some progressives this primary. Many have hypocritically justified Obama’s regressive flip-flops and anti-democratic actions. I am glad to see that there are still thinking Obama supporters, because from what I read on the webs, the landscape looks bleak.
BO: “This is not the Campaign
Financing that I knew”
Dear fellow American,
I watched your video. I am asking you to go to my website http://www.hillaryloyalistnowformccain.com with an open mind and read the page titled FLIP FLOP BOOM OBAMA FALLS HARD… I have a link to Obama saying publicly on a Chicago news interview that he did not say he will withdraw the troops from Iraq. I had voted for HRC. But I can’t in the GE in Nov. so I have decided based on your questions and reactions and my own questions that I must support John McCain. We know who he is! We do not know who the true Obama is. Please email me personally in my contact us page about your thoughts on my video link on obamas huge flip flop on the war. We need to be able to trust our President and I cannot based on his voting record in the State of Illinois and US Congress and his mutiple answers for the same question trust this man. I look forward to hearing from you.
Unfortunately, this loyalist hasn’t realized that Obama has ALREADY changed his position on troop withdrawal. Below is a link to an interview Obama did with Chicago Tonight.
It’s the most simple observations that are spot on. Excellent blog.
Unfortunately this bright and articulate guy is a rara avis. Obama’s supporters can spin anything. On his website, over 50,000 of them have signed some sort of pledge.
More than 50,000 people have declared their independence from a broken campaign finance system since Barack’s announcement yesterday morning. The majority of our supporters are everyday Americans, giving small amounts whenever they can afford to. Barack takes pride in the grassroots movement that the campaign has built, because these same people are doing everything they can to get involved and “own” a piece of this historic moment.
They are a cult. They do not think. They wait for a cue from Obama and then go along. It’s a classic Canetti baiting crowd. If he is elected, we are headed for mob rule.
I have linked your blog to others, but among them are dailykos types who may attack you or try to work you over to their side again. so beware.
We, family and friends, lifelong democrats, switched to republican because of our distrust for Obama. My first red flag was his voting record in the state legislature.
He was the only one who voted against giving sexual crime victims the right to seal their records.
He also claimed to accidentally press the wrong button and would change votes the next day. This way, the morning papers would have his vote documented while his actual record was actually ammended. What is so hard about pushing yes, no, or present.
His baggage and all just makes it harder to stomach him. The FISA vote endorsed by Obama must have you upset as well.
On FISA, while Obama’s position is disconcerting to say the least, the fault lies squarely with Steny Hoyer, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and most of the rest of the Democratic leadership. But it does show that Obama lacks a spine. And yet, I read with disbelief that the Obama nation discounts this as just a ploy but once Obama is in power, he will behave differently. Honestly, how delusional can they get?
